Six years of lab results, printed, in date order, with the abnormal values highlighted in yellow. She had built it herself because nobody else was keeping track.

Her endocrinologist saw her once a year for eleven minutes. Her primary care provider handled everything else and had never read the endocrinologist's notes. When her mood got worse, a third person prescribed for that, separately, without looking at her thyroid.

She was not an unusual patient. She was a Tuesday.
